Every year, distracted driving causes thousands of deaths in the U.S. By measuring certain criteria like speeding, braking and phone usage, the YourTurn Program helps to make drivers of all ages more aware of their driving behaviors and identifies areas for improvement.
Within the first 30 days of the program, YourTurn users see an average reduction of these distractions1:
- 35% decrease in phone distractions
- 20% reduction in hard braking
- 20% decrease in at-risk speeding
Participants can earn rewards of up to $5 (adult drivers) or $10 (youthful drivers) in gift cards every two weeks for driving safely!
Participants can earn rewards2 that can be used on everyday purchases like a favorite latte from Starbucks or drivers can save up their gift cards to make a purchase (there are over 25 gifts cards to choose from). There’s also an option to donate rewards to charity.

What does the app measure?
YourTurn from Erie Insurance is a smartphone application (app) that gathers data and provides feedback about various aspects of your driving, helping you become a safer and better driver. These include: Hard acceleration, hard braking, hard cornering, speeding, and phone usage while driving.
Does Erie Insurance share my data?
Respecting your privacy is an important part of ERIE's commitment to providing an excellent service and product. Your personal information and individually collected data will be available to ERIE and will only be shared with third parties in accordance with ERIE's Privacy Notice and as required to provide the app and services.
